Post Christmas party

When a gathering involves more people, it is usually more difficult to fix a date where everyone can make it. Hence last Saturday, I brought the little ones to a post Xmas party (yes, it's the new year but still within 12 days of Christmas :o).

I love gatherings and it is always a good opportunity to meet up during festive periods to catch up or gossip. Lucky my hubs was there to help with the kids so that I could do a good catch up with my friends.

Yes! We had steamboat!! Yummy!!!

Glad that we remembered to take group photo!

The xmas gift exchange (with the little ones)

And we surprised our friend with a birthday celebration. Well, the kids always love to sing the song and blow the candles.

Jayven starts school

After being placed in waitlist for 2 years, Jayven has gotten a place in playgroup finally! Well, if he can adjust well to the childcare centre, it is also time for me to be a FTWM again.

Today is his first day in school hence we started him with half day routine first. Being such an active toddler, I was rather surprised that he was very reserved in the first hour. But later on, he started to open up and the difficult time came during his shower. I have been the one showering him for the past one year and I kinda expected that he may put up resistance. But I never thought that he will scream, cry and struggle so badly that the whole center can hear him. And he clammed up after the shower, refusing to let go of his bag and water bottle.

I spoke to the teacher and she said that he was the first to put up such strong resistance during shower. Having gone through this phase the second time, I am definitely more chill-lax as compared to when my firstborn started school. I can still remember when I heard her cries, my heart ached and I ran to a corner to wipe off my tears. But I am more composed this time round and I hope I can help my boy to settle in well soon.

Gosh! They are really growing up so fast! My firstborn is in K1 and my youngest is in playgroup. Where did all the years go?

Ready for school. Spot the reluctant boy with his sulking face

He insisted on carrying / pulling his own bag

Balls! His favourite game

But he refused to play with the rest

Then the cheeky boy crept up next to the only girl in his class

Hand-washing time!

Block-building

Happiest when he left the school

This cheeky boy! Hope he will love school soon
